Yichen (Tony) Cao is a current doctoral student in industrial/organizational psychology at Hofstra University where he specializes in conducting organizational research and gaining practical insights through data analyses. He has a passion in developing people, and he believes gathering and utilizing data is one of the best ways to facilitate this process. Tony establishes and cares about the mutual goals he forms with other people, and respects different opinions during the process. As an intern at Bandelli & Associates, Tony is currently going through training in executive assessment and leadership coaching. He is also spear-heading the firm’s test development work on relational intelligence.

Tony was born and raised in China, and went to Australia for high school, eventually coming to the United States for further education. This experience enriched his understanding on embracing cultural differences and allows him to see and appreciate individuals with differing backgrounds and experiences. Tony also has a broad interest in numerous industries, and is passionate developing leaders. Based on the training he received from his educational experiences, Tony applies scientific theories on practical situations, while incorporating and supporting the leaders that he works with.

Tony is also a good mentor among his friends and the colleagues in his program. Having a deep interest in people as well as their development, Tony can often quickly grasp what is the best way to support other people in achieving their goals, and he actively tries to provide that support.

Tony received his Master of Science degree in I/O Psychology from Baruch College, and is currently finishing up his Ph.D. study in I/O Psychology at Hofstra University.
